Dark Hearts Review

Rick Johnson

“Dark Hearts is perhaps the most poignant and powerful short film ever made spotlighting the crippling effects of fractured families. Kenneth Braswell continues to be one of the most relevant cultural filmmakers of our generation. Using black and white film to create the genuine feelings of despair and hopelessness in these situations, Braswell skillfully weaves a powerful and heartbreaking story without using any dialogue, accurately capturing the frustration, anger, and pain that occurs millions of times each day across our land in the lives of men, women, and children.”
